1) President Com. Radhakrishna welcomed the Coc Affiliates. He addressed about the need and necessity of two days General strike to be held on 28-03-2022 & 29-03-2022.
2) It was proposed to hold a common meeting in GPO on 16-03,2022 to mobilize all the comrades for General strike, followed by Lunch Hour Demonstration by Postal Employees, which will be addressed by Com.Majumdar and other Central leaders of Postal Department.
3) It was also proposed to hold a meeting exclusively on NPS issues to create more awareness among the NPS comrades. This is on top priority in the charter of demands, while demanding 8th pay commission.
4) It is also decided to hold State level COC, Karnataka Conference during the month of May, 2022.
5) Posters with regard to the General Strike were distributed to all the Affiliates, to display in their respective Departments/Offices.
6) Genl. Secretary Com. Vinod spoke and emphasized regarding the need for embarking upon two days General Strike, followed by vote of thanks.

All-India CPI-IW for January, 2022 once again decreased by 0.3 points and stood at 125.1 (one hundred twenty five and point one).
The maximum downward pressure in current index came from Food & Beverages group
It was 125.7 point in November, 2021.

Comrade N.J.Iyerji, former President of NFPTE, long time time General Secretary of R.III. union and a respected leader of the central government employees passed away on 13th February 2000. He was a militant leader and was arrested and jailed during National Emergency. He has written detailed history of the P and T Movement.
Com. S.K.Vyasji, the legendary leader of the central government employees and pensioners and long time Secretary General of Confederation of Central Govt. employees and Workers as also that of National Co-ordination Committee of Pensioners’ Association (NCCPA) left us on 13th February 2015. In uniting the central government employees, bargaining with the government on the issues of CG employees and leading the struggles – there is no parallel for him.
They have been role models of trade union functioning. They were examples of high thinking and very simple living.

The All-India CPI-IW for November , 2021 increased by 0.8 points and stood at 125.7 (one hundred twenty five and point seven ).

The maximum upward pressure in current index came from Food & Beverages group contributing 1.31 percentage points to the total change.

The National Convention of Central Trade Unions and Independent Federations held at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi on 11-11-2021 has called for a series of struggles culminating in a two days Strike in February, 2022. The presedium consisting of all the Presidents of the ten Central Trade Unions controlled the proceedings. The General Secretaries and leaders of the Central Trade Unions including Com.Ashok Singh (INTUC), Com. Tapan Sen (CITU) Com.Amarjeet Kaur (AITUC) Com.H S Sidhu (HMS) came down heavily on the Modi government for its naked privatisation drive, sales of national assets in the name of National Monetisation Pipeline, Anti-farmer Farm Acts, anti-worker Labour codes, attacks on civil rights and attempts to divide the people.
The Convention decided to hold countrywide Demonstrations on 26-11-2021, the anniversary day of the Farmers Struggle, in support and solidarity of the historic Agrarian Struggle.
The Declaration adopted by the National Convention called for intensive and extensive campaign for oraganising the National Strike successfully . State level conventions and joint meetings of Public Sector Unions are to be held.
